Now that we've gotten introductions out of the way...

Well, I see that I have some of you reading! That's great! Please make sure to comment!
Now on to a different favorite topic of mine...Baking. I love to bake when I get the chance. Why? It's great stress relief, Instead of taking out your frustration on a pillow, try beating a bunch of delicious ingredients together into a mix or dough. You get to bake things till they are slightly burnt to the right extent, cut them into little pieces, and lets not forget that sweet delicious bite at the end.
I DO NOT mean bake all the time, and then eat it all yourself at once-that's just unhealthy. But it's a good idea to bake something, keep some for yourself, and give some to friends, co-workers, neighbors, or family. Wherever there's stress, just channel it into something that will make everyone's day a little brighter.
My favorite things to bake? Fudge and cookies, but I have about three cookbooks right now (one of them was a collection of recipes that my Great-Grandmother used that my Aunt put together-I LOVE it), so I'll definitely be doing a lot more in the future.

HEY! I know! Post a comment below if you have any favorite cookbooks/recipes below? Are they family recipes? Why are they your favorite? What do you like to do to relieve stress? What do you do with your baked goods?-Post a comment-maybe you'll discover a new favorite recipe?

As always, Peace signs & Smiley faces.

Let's not skip introductions...

Hello!
I'm Lindsay, and this is my blog! I hope to post relevant material here to do with work, finding work, fashion, music, movies, books, current events or other topics that hopefully you lovely readers will leave me comments on or will want some advice on. I'm just one of those people that wants to do "Whatever I Can Do To Help!" Hence the blog title :)

Now granted, I can only talk about things on here, I will not be traveling to assist anyone in person, nor will I be sending  anything, I will however, keep things appropriate on this site, *Notice to all you dirty birds out there-I will delete your comments* now does that mean that my language will always be squeaky-clean? No, I've always had my moments, but I am certainly not vulgar by any means. I am leaving reading my blog to the discretion of the reader. If you are very young and reading this, I'm assuming that your Parents/Guardians, are being just that-Parents/Guardians. However, I also realize in my relatively short time here on earth, that's not always the case.
Now that we've established some boundaries, I'll let you know some of my favorite things, likes & dislikes, you know-see if this is a compatible blogger-reader fit.

1) My absolute favorite sign is the smiley face, and I would LOVE it if someone could tell me how to access emoticons on here, or Blogger to add emoticons *hint,hint*-so I don't have to keep doing this " :)" all the time. Secondly the peace sign, except I don't know how to make one with keyboard signs. I'm afraid you'll just have to Google that one kids. Why do I love these two signs, because I like to make people laugh and smile, and well-I think we'd all like peace, however, that's not always possible...

2) What's my sign, you ask? Kids if you don't get this one, wait till the opposite sex does not have "cooties"(or at least not the invisible kind anymore) and you'll probably learn ALL about cheesy pick-up lines...That's a different topic though :)
Well I am a Virgo OR a Leo, yes I have one of those awkward birthdays where the sign you most identify with, is changed to something COMPLETELY different depending on what astrology source you use. I personally have always loved watching those creepy guys' faces. *If you're reading this and you know me, and you've said that, you know who you are. If you haven't, then I don't mean you, it's just that simple!*

3) Fashion wise I like to describe my style as " Eclectic Bookworm-ish Curvy Girl that likes to raid her Hippie Grandmother's Attic" So picture THAT one.Basically-I like to look covered, put together, accessorized, with some funky patterns, color, or texture combos that remind you of the stereotypical hippie from the 60's or 70's.Most importantly, I am a young woman, and have the body of a young woman, I have and LOVE my curves, and will show them off, I have not had the size 0 body since I was a little girl.
Goodwill is a wonderful thing, and I love making my own bracelets/necklaces. Not to mention I am seriously frugal- I LOVE a good deal, sale, clearance, coupon item, and Black Friday every year is a must!  My favorite color is teal, any other shades of blue, purple, oh and let's not forget green brings out my eyes-so you'll catch me wearing green quite a bit. I am also SO glad that there are tons of things out there to accommodate my style currently.
I do not wear high-heeled shoes-I can't walk in them, however, I love flats,kitten-heels, wedges(Under a certain height) sandals, and let's not forget clogs-the funkier the better!
4)My music collection? Definitely eclectic- I like a little bit of everything. I was in a choir of some sort from 5th-12th grade, most of college, and even in some of my post-college years I was in a choir doing solo contests and auditioning. I definitely can still be found singing a favorite song, or around the piano at a friends house singing with a group, or singing  a solo in front of approximately 345 people at a church based convention, and getting a standing O, before the rest of the sketch was through. I love to go to local friends' gigs or local music concerts, whether they be near a sibling's home, or near mine-I love music of all kinds, and I've sung music of all kinds-so expect me to do some reviewing and recommendations.
5) Movie-wise I like anything that has a sense of humor. It's that simple, you'll probably see some reviews/recommendations on here for those as well.
6) Books- I love biographies, auto-biographies, to the classics like Sherlock and Arthurian legend. So I'll be doing some recommendations of those to. While we are on that I HIGHLY recommend "Bossypants" by Tina Fey. She is hilarious, and everyone should read that book at least once...
You'll have to read future posts for more... Comment, what do you like, what do you want to read about, Questions about anything? Please Comment!
And as always for every blog I will end with-

Peace Signs & Smiley faces,
Lindsay
